Raunie Mae is a film photographer based in Vancouver, Canada who works primarily in the music industry. Since discovering the love of shooting film in 2017, Raunie Mae has become a mainstay of Vancouver music photography. She regularly collaborates with established local artists such as Yukon Blonde, Ayla Tesler-Mabé, Luca Fogale, and Sam Lynch, while always continuing to find new and emerging talent to capture within the scene. Some recent highlights include a photoshoot with local legend Dan Mangan, and a photoshoot with travelling singer-songwriter Maïa Davies.

Having been essentially raised in a music studio, Raunie Mae is right at home when working in music, where she’s now been working for eight years. She is known in the scene for her ability to capture vibrant colour and honest tone while maintaining a delicate attention to detail. You can usually find her taking photos at a show in Vancouver, in a studio, or you might bump into her photographing a band in the wild. That said, she has also dabbled in capturing dance and fashion, and is always up for a new challenge.

On the side, Raunie Mae moonlights as a music video cinematographer, video editor, and occasionally can be persuaded into wearing the director’s hat. In addition to her various endeavours behind the camera, Raunie Mae also helps out with Vancouver record label Kingfisher Bluez. One of her chief occupations at the label is producing the yearly Christmas show, which showcases an average of 16 bands each year while raising money for 1-800-SUICIDE and Crisis Centre BC.

Raunie Mae's past roles include but are not limited to:

Creative Director at Pacific Sound Radio, Director of Snug Concert Series, "One Of The People Who Ran" Out The Window, Creative Director at Cushy Entertainment (formerly Trash City), Photographer at Beatroute Media, Photographer & Artist Liaison at Sofar Sounds Vancouver.
